Fair Housing Seminar 2018 @ Fire Station Headquarters

A Fair Housing Seminar will be held on Thursday, April 19th at Fire Station Headquarters, 2000 Denison.  The schedule is 7:30-8:00 am Check-in;  8:05-8:30 am The UDO and You – an Update of the City’s Unified Development Ordinance; 8:30-9:30 am – Existing Structures Inspections – A tour Through a Typical Inspection; 9:30-10:15 am – Identifying Criminal and Drug Related Activities; 10:15-10:30 am Break; 10:25-12:15 pm – Renting, a Two-Way Street-Kansas Rights/Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants and Equal Opportunity Housing For All.  Registration is free.  Seating is limited.  Please register online at www.cityofmhk.com/fairhousing or by calling Vicki Riniker at 785-587-2412 by April 16th.

Pig Out For Parkinson’s @ Cox Bros BBQ

The 8th Annual Pig Out For Parkinson’s will be held on Thursday, April 19th from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm at Cox Bros BBQ.  There will be a Slider Buffet at lunch with Bill Snyder present.  Hog Roast Buffet from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Live music by Byton Stoll.

Wolf House Museum Tour @ Wolf House Museum

A special tour of the Wolf House Museum, 630 Fremont, will be held on Thursday, April 19th at 7:00 pm.  Admission is free.  This tour will focus on life in Manhattan and Riley County during the 1880’s.  The Wolf House was built 150 years ago, in 1868.

Travel and Dining Auction @ Kansas State Union
Apr 21 @ 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm

The Travel and Dining Auction will be held on Saturday, April 21st, at the Kansas State Union Grand Ballroom from 6:00 to 9:30 pm.  There will be a lot of excitement including a meal offered, an open cash bar, silent and live auction, and a Beer/Wine Wall.  This event is to raise funds for Hospitality Scholarships.  Tickets are currently being sold for $30 in advance and $45 at the door.  Tickets can be purchased by going online at http://www.k-stateda.com/ or contacting the State Foundation at 800-432-1578.
