Charlie Griffin and Charlotte Shoup Olsen will be the featured speakers at a seminar on Succession Planning and Communications, to be held on 12:30 pm on Friday, February 17th. The meeting will be held at the Riley County Public Works Facility. Griffin and Olsen have been asked to help workshop participants learn better communication skills – skills that will help them start conversations about estate and succession planning, or other farm business decisions. The goal is to encourage better communication with family, landlords, and business partners, and to encourage discussions that will make farm businesses stronger. This meeting is a part of the Women Involved in Agriculture-2 series, but everyone is welcome, not just Women in Ag class members. Spouses are also invited and encouraged to attend. There is a $10 registration fee that includes lunch. Lunch will be served at 12:30, with the meeting following, and adjournment by 4:00 pm. Reservations may be made online at www.riley.ksu.edu, or by calling 785-537-6350.
