The Kansas Department of Health and Environment recorded 142 new COVID-19 cases for Riley County between July 16 – 22. The Incidence Rate is 191.3 and Riley County remains in the HIGH incidence category with 100 or more cases per 100,000 people.
Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan is caring for two COVID-19 positive patients currently.
Two additional deaths have been reported. An 87 y.o. male died July 11 after testing positive on July 9. A 91 y.o. female died July 11 after testing positive on June 25.
The total number of COVID-19 related deaths for Riley County residents is now 91 people.
Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are now available for everyone older than six months of age. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive vaccinations.
