The K-State College of Business held the C. Clyde Fun Run and Midge’s Mile Walk on September 30 at Frank Anneberg Park. The run/walk was held to raise money for Shepherd’s Crossing, a local philanthropic organization.

C. Clyde Run organizer and Assistant to the Dean of the College of Business at K-State, Melanie Horton, explains how the event came to be.

Community member participation has fluctuated through the years, however, many participants are committed to running every year. Michaela Crowe, a sophomore at K-State, says she has participated in the event since high school, and feels connected with the community because of it.

The run is named after C. Clyde, the first Dean of K-State’s College of Business. He is a tireless community volunteer, and attended the run on Saturday. He explains that organizers have been working hard to get as many people involved as possible.
