Junction City Police on Thursday arrested a woman in connection to the death of a 19-year-old woman last August.

Police charged 22-year-old Alyzah Benitez, of Junction City, with distribution of a controlled substance causing great bodily harm or death. The arrest follows a nearly six month investigation into the death of Caytlin Hinkle. Police say an autopsy determined Hinkle died from acute fentanyl intoxication Aug. 22.

Benitez is being held in lieu of bond at the Geary County Detention Center, pending a first court appearance.

JCPD has not released any further information.
