Earlier this week, K-State Credit Union presented a check totaling $7,200 to Big Lakes Developmental Center.

The funds were raised during the company’s annual Skip-A-Pay program, which allows members to skip their November or December loan payment for a $25 fee and a portion of proceeds are then donated to a local organization.

“This donation truly comes from our members, and we are excited it is going to such an amazing organization in our community,” LaRae Kraemer, President/CEO for K-State Credit Union said Wednesday.

Big Lakes Developmental Center serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Riley, Geary, Clay and Pottawatomie counties. CEO Lori Feldkamp says the organization and K-State Credit Union have been valued partners and says they’re honored to be part of the special program.
