Konza Student Table celebrates its third anniversary Wednesday.

The weekly food distribution program for Kansas State University students, came about through a coordinated effort of local entities, including the Food and Farm Council of Manhattan and Riley County, St. Isidore’s Catholic Student Center and K-State’s Housing and Dining Services. Food and Farm Council Coordinator Vickie James says it’s open to students regardless of their situation.

The program hasn’t missed a beat in it’s three year existence, having utilized over 450 volunteers and relying on other partners and donors.

Those who come out receive a nutritious hot meal and a brown bag lunch for the next day.

The event is held every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot north of St. Isidore’s on Denison Ave. Those who come out Sept. 27 will also receive cake in honor of KST’s third anniversary.
