Two people were injured in Manhattan after shots were fired in a Sunday morning domestic altercation, according to Riley County police.
37-year-old Ryan Powell was arrested after the incident on two counts of aggravated battery and assault, as well as three counts of aggravated endangerment of a child. Powell is accused of firing shots Sunday in the 3000 block of Kimball Ave., hitting a 23-year-old man in the leg and grazing a 21-year-old woman.
The two victims’ injuries were treated at Ascension Via Christi. The woman has been released, the man was transported to Stormont Vail in Topeka for further treatment though is fairing well according to RCPD.
Powell remains in the Riley County Jail in lieu of bond.
