The Manhattan City Commission has one item on the work session agenda tonight, discussing the city’s 2023 year to date analysis and the 2024 budget. Commissioners will also receive an overview of the Capital Improvement Program.

The board will review the city’s financials and provide feedback on items such as the city’s seven major revenue sources, general fund expenditures, the city’s debt, cash balances, the revenue neutral rate and use of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.

An overview of the Capital Improvement Program is included in the agenda, but will be more extensively reviewed during a future work session.

The purpose of tonight’s discussion is to better prepare for the 2024 budget conversations later this year and take a look at the status of various funds for the years to come.

The meeting starts at 6 pm in City Hall.
