Manhattan High’s Special Education and Interpersonal life skills teacher hosted and put the event together with the help of students and other staff members.

Special Education Life Skills and IPS teacher at MHS, Jamie Schnee was one of the many faces behind it all. Many students and even staff were able to showcase various unique talents.

Schnee had the opportunity to announce the 2022 Manhattan Special Olympics Volleyball team that will be representing team Kansas in Orlando, FL this year for the National tournament.

MHS Students, Kya Davin and Cooper Pfannenstiel was one of the openers with a show stopping performance.

Students had the entire auditorium on their feet with singing, dancing, instrumental, poetry and even comedy acts.

That was MHS student, Keeton Foust on the electric ukulele .

The students and staff worked endlessly over the past year to put the show on and help raise donation dollars for the Manhattan Special Olympics organization.

The fund raising event was meant to assist the funding’s for the 2022 Manhattan Special Olympics Team. To donate or for more information visit: specialolympics.org/kansas.
