The Riley County Health Department will provide free in-person COVID tests starting Monday.

According to a news release from RCHD, testing will be available by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled as early as five days out or as late as two hours before the selected timeslot.

A mobile lab trailer conducting nasal swab PCR tests will be parked in the lower lot near the RCHD Family and Child Resource center. Designated signs will be set up to help direct those receiving tests.

Results are typically available within 30 minutes and will be shared with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment for more accurate community reporting.

Testing will run from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. weekdays. Free take-home testing kits will still be available at RCHD’s health clinic.
