The weather outlook for Tuesday and Wednesday is going to be a bit bumpy.
Thunderstorms remain possible Tuesday as rain is expected most, if not all day. Strong or potentially severe thunderstorm Tuesday afternoon are possible, with lightning, damaging winds up to 60 mph, and small hail being the main hazard. However the National Weather Services says a brief tornado cannot be ruled out. The systems are expected to move out by nightfall, though strong winds will remain.
A winter storm could impact the area Wednesday afternoon and evening, with the potential to linger into Thursday. The National Weather Service says 4 to 6 inches of snow is expected with locally higher amounts possible in some spots.
Strong winds, up to 30 to 40 mph could cause blowing snow, reducing visibility and making travel dangerous.
Motorists are encouraged to have an emergency kit in their vehicle, to include, but not limited to: a blanket, jacket, flashlight, a first aid kit and bottled water.
