Murphy & Jodi’s daughter Taylor made “Date Bark” for Jodi for Mother’s Day. A sweet but healthier bark treat. The 3 Ingredients: dates, organic peanut butter, dark chocolate melting pieces. Here’s her method:
Open dates to get the pit out. Pull away and discard the top part as well. Use as many as you’d like to fill the bottom of a dish. Smash them down – as this is your bottom layer.
Next, melt and drizzle a thin layer of peanut butter. Then, place dark chocolate melting chips on top. Microwave it until those melt, and use a spoon or spatula to spread the chocolate evenly on top.
Place the dish in the fridge for about an hour to set. Cut into squares and serve! This is a healthier alternative to candy bark – as the dates have a lot of fiber and are naturally sweet.
(Decide what amounts you’ll use as this is a recipe you sort of eyeball. No specific ratio of amounts were given.)
